Flu During the Pandemic: Why You Need to Get Vaccinated

People with rheumatic diseases are at higher risk for complications if they get the flu. So, while it’s important every year to get the flu vaccine, this year it is more important than ever.

Hospitals are already overwhelmed with COVID-19 patients, having shortages of hospital beds and equipment, and COVID cases are on the rise again, just as the flu season is starting. Because COVID and the flu have many of the same symptoms, this could cause confusion in treatment.
